This Yin Yoga Nidra is a blissful evening offering that includes a gentle stretch in long held supported restorative shapes, a skilfully guided relaxation and a sound meditation. A practice that promotes awareness and better sleep.
This offering aims to downregulate the nervous system and to promote ease, relaxation and health at the entryway into the "silly season". With the tendency of modern times to always be stressed and rushed, take time to slow down, unwind and take care of your health and wellbeing.
~ Yoga Nidra - The Bliss of Yogic Sleep ~ Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation”. It’s usually practiced lying down with a teacher guiding the session. The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis) – the breath balances and becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness. Yoga Nidra takes us effortlessly into a state of harmonious, restful being. From here, we can be healed, restored and awakened to our deepest, all-knowing, all-welcoming self. It’s a sublime practice, gaining popularity the world over, and ongoing research continues to prove its effectiveness.
~ Yin Yoga ~ Yin yoga provides a spectrum of tools to unwind at the end of the day, to restore the functions of the nervous system and improve the quality of sleep.
Yin yoga is known for its numerous physical, mental and energy-realted benefits, including lowered stress levels, calmer nervous system, increased level of GABA (help’s the body respond to stress), more balanced prana/ energy, quieter mind, increased sense of harmony, greater mobility and health.
~ Nada Yoga ~ Nada Yoga is the Yoga of Sound, a blissful dissolution into a meditative state, produced by a sound bath; a form of sound meditation
Guided by Radha Iveta, a certified meditation and yoga teacher with over 7 years of experience teaching internationally
