~ AYURVEDA ~
A sister-science to Yoga, as often referred to,  Ayurveda is the fundamental "science of life", the eternal and traditional wellness system, stemming from the ancient Vedic culture in India more than 5,000 years ago. We can call it the  “Mother of All Healing" as the principles of many of the natural healing systems now familiar in the West have their roots in Ayurveda.
Ayurveda is a holistic science, it deals with every aspect of life, the balance and relationship of the elements within and in our environment in order to restore the healthiest version of body, mind and self.
It is vast and complex, but also commonsense and logical. Often, as we learn Ayurveda, we simply remember the wisdom that lives in our cells.Â
~ WORKSHOP OVERVIEW ~
In this  workshop we will go through learning sessions, discussion and practical exercises.
We will look into the Ayurvedic wisdom of how to cultivate wellness on a daily basis through:
- the concepts of agni (digestive fire) and ama (waste) in Ayurveda
- ways to kindle and balance agni, our diegstion
- ways to reduce/ eliminate waste
- diets and proper nutrition for each dosha
- addressing imbalances with our diet
... and more
~ INTENTION ~
The practice of the principles of Ayurveda enables one to understand how to create and sustain balance of body, mind and awareness according to one’s own individual make-up or, if in an unhealthy state - how to make lifestyle choices to bring about and maintain such balance.
